September 29th, Monday - 7 pm :  General Club Meeting 

Topic:   Mushroom cooking demonstration 
by   Sophie Dufrasnes 

 

Speaker: Sophie Dufrasnes

Sophie is a Realtor by day and part time caterer by night.  Her illustrious past included owning 3 restaurents with her ex-husband chef. 

come and sample the mushroom dishes.   this is NOT a dinner, however, if you wish to bring something to share with everyone, feel free to do so.  coffee and drinks will be provided, as usual.



October 3-5th, Friday- Sunday:  Priest River Foray

The mushrooms has started popping already in the Priest Lake area and typically over 100 species of mushroom is gathered during this foray for identification.  Come join us and learn more about mushrooms. 


October 27th, Monday - 7 pm :  General Club Meeting 

Topic:   Survivor banquet
This is the last meeting for 2008.    Bring a "wild" dish to share at this annual dinner to celebrate another year of wild food gathering.  All foods should contain something you have harvested or hunted in the wild.

Meetings

The club meets at 7 pm on the last Monday of each month, except for November, December, and January at the San Souci West, Recreation Center.  3231 W. Boone Ave., Spokane. Guests are welcome.  (The recreation center is located at the mobile home park office building)

Meetings begin with hands on identification of fruitings in season (bring your mushrooms), followed by a very short business meeting and program. Refreshments will be served.
